Hello! I am hiring a spring intern to help run my small, one woman letterpress print shop. I’m looking for someone interested in small creative businesses, who is a organized, enthusiastic, and a fast learner.

REQUIREMENTS:

-Intern should be a self starter, hard worker, and good at learning as you go

-Organized with high attention to detail

-Interested in a creative business, but not necessarily letterpress

-Enthusiastic about wanting to learn about a small business, and letterpress printing

-Willing to work on repetitive, tedious tasks

-Reliable and on time

-Good computer skills is a plus

-Photography skills are a major plus

EXAMPLES of TASKS:

-helping to take photos of products

-helping organize inventory

-packaging orders

-updating online catalog

-helping with online marketing

-if interested, learning how to operate letterpress printing machinery

DETAILS and COMPENSATION:

-work would be once a week, for 6 hours, for 8 weeks total

-pay is $12/hour

-First week of April through second week of May is ideal, but flexible

-There is a possibility to stay on longer term

-If interested, could learn to use letterpress machine and print a personal job (outside of internship hours, and depending on press availability)
